I got bored. Made this. I really should get on with some real work.

Made without permission to fill a space on my new website that couldn't be filled by the usual UV pink logo for Candy.

Lots of exciting things in the works at the moment. Alas I can't talk about most of them at the moment...

New journal, I've decided to copy my personal journal phantoms_siren as the Component layout really is the best layout available on LiveJournal, also I've never been able to get the colour theme quite right with other layouts. Lots of new icons, more suited to the steampunk feel of the new site. Actually most of the new icons are captures of the new site :)

New site should be up by the end of the month, just adding the final touches and some additional code gubbins (apparently), just waiting for access to the server and access to some time. I think we need to get the day extending to 48 hours, a mere 24 hours is not nearly enough.

At midnight on the twelfth of August, a huge mass of luminous gas erupted from Mars and sped towards Earth. Across two hundred million miles of void, invisibly hurtling towards us, came the first of the missiles that were to bring so much calamity to Earth. As I watched, there was another jet of gas. It was another missile, starting on its way.

And that's how it was for the next the next ten nights. A flare, spurting out from Mars - bright green, drawing a green mist behind it - a beautiful, but somehow disturbing sight. Ogilvy, the astronomer, assured me we were in no danger. He was convinced there could be no living thing on that remote, forbidding planet.

I've been away for a while, I suffered two bad injuries to my right hand (took a chunk out of my ring finger, then somehow ended up with a thumb joint full of blood) and they've only just healed.

This was just a quick self portrait piece to see if I could still draw at all before I dive in the mountain of commissions that have backed up in the mean time.
